Common questions

How long can I stay in Canada on a tourist visa?
The maximum stay is typically 6 months, but the exact duration is determined by the Canada Border Services Agency officer at your port of entry. You may be granted less time based on your stated travel plans.
Can I work on a Canadian tourist visa?
No, the Temporary Resident Visa (visitor visa) does not permit any form of paid employment in Canada. If you want to work, you must apply for a work permit. You also cannot study for programs longer than 6 months.
How long does Canada visa processing take from Morocco?
Processing times have improved significantly in 2025, now typically taking 2–4 weeks. However, times can vary based on application volume and individual circumstances. Check the IRCC website for current processing times.
What is the Canada tourist visa fee for Moroccans in 2025?
The visitor visa application fee is CAD $100. If biometrics are required, there’s an additional CAD $85 fee. Total cost is CAD $185 if you haven’t provided biometrics in the past 10 years.
Do I need to provide biometrics?
Yes, most applicants aged 14–79 must provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo). Once collected, biometrics are valid for 10 years. You’ll receive instructions after submitting your application.
Can I apply online or do I need to visit an office?
You can complete and submit your application entirely online through the IRCC portal. However, you will need to visit a Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Rabat or Casablanca to provide biometrics.
