- How long can I stay in India on an e-Tourist Visa?
- The 30-day e-Tourist Visa allows double entry with a maximum stay of 30 days. The 1-year and 5-year e-Tourist Visas allow multiple entries with a maximum continuous stay of 180 days per visit.
- Can I extend my e-Tourist Visa while in India?
- No, the e-Tourist Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible. If you need to stay longer, you must exit India and apply for a new visa.
- Which airports accept e-Visa arrivals?
- e-Visa holders can enter through 28 designated airports including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Goa, as well as 5 seaports including Mumbai, Goa, and Cochin.
- How soon can I apply for an India e-Visa?
- You can apply up to 120 days before your travel date. It is recommended to apply at least 4 days in advance, though most applications are processed within 72 hours.
- Do I need to print the e-Visa?
- Yes, you must carry a printed copy of the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) that you receive by email. Show this along with your passport at immigration.
- Can I work on an India e-Tourist Visa?
- No, the e-Tourist Visa is strictly for tourism, visiting friends and family, or short-term yoga programs. For business activities, apply for an e-Business Visa instead.
