Do UK citizens need a visa for Bali/Indonesia?: UK citizens have two options: visa-free entry for 30 days (non-extendable) or Visa on Arrival (VOA) for 30 days which can be extended to 60 days. VOA costs IDR 500,000 (~$35/£28).
What is the difference between visa-free and VOA?: Visa-free is free but limited to 30 days with no extension possible. VOA costs ~$35 but can be extended for another 30 days (total 60 days). Choose VOA if you might want to stay longer.

Can I extend my stay in Indonesia as a UK citizen?: Only if you entered on VOA. Visit an immigration office before your 30 days expires, pay IDR 500,000, and receive a 30-day extension. Visa-free entry cannot be extended.
Should I get VOA or use visa-free entry?: If your trip is definitely under 30 days and you won’t need flexibility, visa-free is simpler. If you might want to extend or stay flexible, get VOA for the option to extend to 60 days.
What is the Bali tourism levy?: Visitors to Bali pay a tourism levy of IDR 150,000 (~$10/£8). Pay online at lovebali.baliprov.go.id or on arrival. This is separate from the visa fee.
